Cinderella & Rockerfella


Hiya Guys Olivia and Ella here,


Just a sneak-peek at what Cefn Fforest's Year 5 & 6 are doing for their Christmas Show 2014. The production is a twist on the original story of Cinderella. The changes include: Prince Charming is a Rock star called Rockerfella or 'Rocky' for short; Buttons has a playful dog named Teaser who as the story carries on, gains a voice and helps to save the day. We also have a nasty fairy who is cunning a nasty ruse to destroy Cinderella's romance but as the ends they turn her to nice and she falls in love with the offstage inspector and it all ends happily.  Also, additional events occur throughout the story such as: A concert, many songs, a talent contest and a lovey-dovey baker's scene!

'The Nativity'

Hiya, Olivia , Ella and Molly  here


Today year 6 went over the road to watch nursery and receptions nativity. Ella, Olivia, molly, Abbie, rose and Alicia went a bit earlier to help the little ones with their costumes. It was good and well planned, some problems but their only little so they all looked really cute. Next week we will be watching year 1 and 2s nativity which we are sure will be just as good. Anyway we will fill you in after that show.

loom band club

Hiya guys molly, Olivia and Ella  here

Last term we decided to create a club for talented loomers. Liam Cassley, Olivia Prichard, Ella Davies and Molly Thorpe run the club with a little help from Mrs Kemp. For the past 2 weeks the children have been making their own things but within this term we have made rattle snakes, starbursts and very complicated bracelets and easy bracelets and loads more.

Friday Fun

Hiya guys Morgan, Olivia and Ella here,


Last Friday we painted our 3D poppy's and had our wintermas fair. At the wintermas fair we had Nail Painting, Tattoos, toy shops, sweet shops and lots more. Last Friday we also had a writing assessment we had to write a story on bullying and how we can solve the situation. Altogether Friday was a very good day and everyone enjoyed the wintermas fair!!

Bag packing down Asda

Hiya, guys Olivia, Morgan and Liam.W here,




We are just going to give you a quick update on our recent news. In 6NK we are going down to our local supermarket called ASDA to do carol singing and bag packing to raise money for an orphanage in Kenya called Kuanza Kenya, we have done a lot of fund-raising for this orphanage. We are going to walk down in the early morning and returning at about 3pm. As an extra Christmas treat we will also be going to McDonalds after the carol singing session in ASDA.

We are going to tell you the new digital leaders for this year, Our new digital ambassadors are Liam Cassley, Olivia Prichard, Ella Davies, Abbie Sadler and Kali Webber. Our new year 6 digital leaders are Morgan Phillips, Alfie Phillips, Molly Thorpe, Sam Palmer, Lauren Thomas and Liam Wild. Our new year 5 digital leaders are Isobel Jones, Erin Moore, Megan Richards, Brandon Harris and lily Jay. Our year 4 digital leaders are Lauren Dury, Sommer Darknell, Ewan O'Malley, Lucy Wright and Plaire Harley and finally our new year 3 apprentices are Daisy Phillips, Carys Phillips, Harry McGill and Logan Oldridge.

Kaunza kenya letters

Hiya guys Morgan and Olivia,


Our homework last week was to write a first draft letter to our new friends in Kenya. Last Wednesday we wrote our neat draft of the letter on festive paper. Lots of people wrote lovely letters to send to their pen pals. Morgan Phillips wrote to Samuel, Olivia Prichard wrote to the older Lucy and Ella Davies wrote to the other older Lucy, Molly Thorpe and Lauren Thomas wrote to Emily. All of our class wrote to one of the children in the kaunza Kenya orphanage and some even sent pictures of pets or just random drawings. We all are hoping that they will write back to us again like last time
